By default, all blogs are set up to automatically close comments on articles older than 60 days.
To change this option, please go to Settings → Discussion in your blog’s dashboard.
You can disable it entirely by removing the tick from the option Automatically close comments on articles older than x days in Other comment settings.
You can also increase the time frame for this option, as shown in the image below.
